URL (Uniform Resource Locator)
URL is short for "Uniform Resource Locator." URL is the address of a specific Web site or resource on the Internet. A URL cannot have spaces and uses forward slashes to denote different directories. For example the URL of Intiger's about us page is http://www.intiger.com/about_us/index.php. The URL can be divided into various parts. The first part of URL indicates which type of resource is mentioned. In this case it is "http". Second part of URL contains the address of server where the resource is located, and the location of the resource. For example, here www.intiger.com is the location of the resource whereas "/about_us/index.php" is the location of the file.
